Moral Education in skool - FAILURE!

Was in the monorail this evening, heading to Times Square for a walk. The train was super packed.. everyone was pushing and pulling coz many people were trying to board the train from the stations.

There was this young boy (should be about 18-20 years old) sitting right in front of me, and standing beside me was this pregnant lady. I could see that the pregnant lady was feeling very uncomfortable as she was sweating profusely and breathing very heavily.. I looked at the boy, trying to signal him to offer his seat to this lady, but this bozo boy just wouldn't give a damn! I stared at him continuously but he still did not move! At one point, I could take it anymore and told him "Could you at least have some curtosy to offer your sit to this lady over here?!" Everyone looked at me when I said that, then the attention quickly was diverted to the boy who was speechless at that moment. He relunctantly got up and gave away his seat to the pregnant lady, and once the lady sat down, u could see how relieved and comfortable she was.

Bottom line: All those government advertisements and Pendidikan Moral clases taught to students from Standard 1 to Form 5 are useless!! All those stuff did not manage to penetrate through the minds of youngsters (I'm not saying ALL youngsters, k!) and I think parents and families should be held responsible when we have these uncaring new generation!
