De' Chiang Mai Restaurant, Sg. Buloh

Detoured to this Thai Restaurant at Sg. Buloh on Sunday... it's located deep inside the Malay Kampungs in some remote places of Sg. Buloh. Amidst the small wooden kampung houses and industrial factories, stood this grand, white building...

When I saw the building, I told CM "I dont think this is the one. It looks more like a hotel or something. But mayb we can ask someone inside where this restaurant is." When CM walked down from the car, he smiled and said that that was the place we were looking for as the signage spelled "DE CHIANG MAI" ... hehe

It was his colleague that recommended this place to us. Their tomyam is said to be very special as they use coconut juice to cook instead of normal water. Be warned that it's quite expensive though...

We ordered their Famous Tomyam Seafood, Steamed Siakap (which is their specialty as well), Kailan and Pandan Chicken... for the both of us, the bill came to RM80!

The tomyam was really quite special as it was really thick and is served in the steamboat-look-alike cooker with charcoal in it. We could see smoke coming out from the soup even after the meal! However, I didn't quite fancy the taste as the tomyam soup tasted more like curry kuah! Not my type of tomyam, but it was a good try.

These are the photos taken at De' Chiang Mai... the surrounding is really pretty :)
