Expressions
Something I expressed on FB. Something that I want myself to remember. There will always be mean people trying to form barriers and challenge us. Dont let these small roadbumps stop us from walking further in life. These r just small pebbles that can be easily kicked away and go unnoticed. Sometimes it gets stuck in our shoes and makes us feel uncomfortable. Stop awhile, knock it out, make ourselves comfortable again and continue walking to our destination.
============
Doing what I do over the years, I believe I have met a fair share of various kind of characters in the working world ~ the rich, poor, nice, mean, evil, naggy, 'politicians', snobbish, 'mr/ms know-it-all', tai-chi masters, lazy kings/queens, good bosses, bad leaders and the list goes on and on. I would have thought that my level of 'zen-ness' practised over the years would be able to get me over most kind of situations. I think most that have walked with me would agree to some point that it is not easy to get me all boiled up to the point of cursing. But well, was I wrong! Met some very horrible difficult being fr Venus that just decided to hate me at Hello. I was so affected by having someone disliking me/my companion so much that I could only pen this down 3 days later.
Point I'd like to make and to remind myself and friends ~ it doesnt cause us a single thing to be nice. My motto has always been "be so nice to your enemy that they feel ashame to be rude to you". Of course this logic doesnt apply if the other party doesnt have the sense to understand what 'rude' means. Anyway, what I wanna say is, the world is already is a very mean battlefield. It doesnt cost us a penny to light up someone's day by just being nice. Courtesy goes a long way. Respect is earned. Be nice whenever u can. Dont judge. All these will make you a happier person.
As for me... need to still learn how to be more zen :) have a good week all!
