29 April 2016 ~ We are back!

3 yrs ago at about the same time of the year, I was hit by the harsh work reality that good times r not to be taken for granted. The company's crown job was taken away by a competitor. It was a huge blow to me as I was leading the project from the time I joined the company. When we exited the project at end June 2013, I told my team, guys, we'll be back!

Fast forward 2 yrs later, again at about the same time last year, I submitted my pitc proposal to KWÀP for management of NIT. It was a pleasant surprise that we were awarded with the job 2 weeks later! So yea.. so its a half 'We are back!'

Tho I really wanted to regain the portfolio, it was quite far fetche as the owner of VT is actively trying to sell off the building. So which rationale owner would go through the process of changing their Prop Mgrs half way through the journey, right? Again, I was wrong. Received the RFP to submit my pitch proposal for VT 2 weeks ago. During the tender interview, was informed that my competitor quoted less than half the fees I quoted. I was all ready to shake hands with the owner and bid goodbye to this project as there was no way I could do the job at the fee quoted by the competitor. Anyway, we fight and we fight til the end. Tho I knew the fee difference was wayyyyy beyond huge, I submitted our best price bid and justifications and WALAAA!!! On 29th April 2016, 3 yrs since I lost this crown job, I have regained it!!! And so... its officially "WE ARE BACK!!!!" YEAH!
