Where Rainbows End - Cecelia Ahern

Dear has gone home on Thursday and to keep myself occupied, I bought myself the above book. It has been ages since I last purchased a book... so long that I dont even remember which was my last, or how was it to look for some nice books in the books store.

Anyway, strolled aimlessly at MPH and ended up at the "Best Selling" compartment...
This book caught my eye as it has a very nice/sweet cover. On the cover, it says "Bestselling author of PS, I Love You". I was deliberating of whether I should get PS, I Love You instead coz it is after all a bestselling item. Anyway, after reading the summary of the book, I got the idea that it would be sad-ending story and therefore I put it down as I'm a sucker for good-endings! :P

Well, Where Rainbows End tells the story between two childhood best friends, Rosie and Alex, and how they stayed as best friends through thick & thin and miles apart. And like any other romance novels, it depics the love of two friends who later found out that they were in love with their best friends, but the discovery came only too late. In short, timing is very bad in the novel. Nonetheless, the bond that Rosie and Alex share is something that I like reading about. In the story, Rosie goes through some very hard times and tho' Alex was in another country, the support and courage that flies from Alex's words pulled her through.

In the introduction, Cecelia Ahern wrote:
"Their magical connection remains but can their friendship survive the years and miles - as well as new relationships? And always at the back of Rosie's mind is whether they were meant to be more than just good friends all along. Misunderstandings, circumstances and sheer bad luck have kept them apart - until now. But will they gamble everything - including their friendship - on true love? And what twists and suprises does fate have in store for them at this time...?"

When buying this book, obviously I hope that both the best friends will eventually end up happily ever after, but I can never be sure as some author are crazy enough to depic a very bad ending. As such, after flipping through the first few pages, I could barely leave the book for more than 30 minutes!!! Manage to finish the whole thing in 2 days and I'm very satisfied with the ending :)

And I think since I liked this book, I MIGHT continue getting PS, I Love You, though I might shed tears throughout reading it!
