At 8 months...

Have been a happy mommy for 8 months now ...

Months zoomm by at the fastest speed with an angel around you! Not too sure how much she weigh this month coz she wont need to go for another checkup until she's 12 months old! That means, no medicine, no jabs and no doctors! Yippie! hehe

Probably I'll just TRY to make her sit still on our normal weighing machine and see how much she has progressed since her last 9.1kg :)

At 8 months, she :-

- gives out many other different sound.. from the initial "ahhhhHHHh", to "zzzz zzzzzz", to "errrrrr" and now its "Da Da Da Da DdaaaAAAa Da Da Daaaaaa" and "Naaa Naaaaaaa NEee NAaaaaa NaaAaa" *hehehe*

- takes 2 meals of porridge (10 spoons each) for lunch and dinner. Drinks 2 bottles of milk (6.5oz) for breakfast and supper :P

- have tried yuen choy, carrots, baby rusk biscuits, papayas, honeydue, bananas, tauhu, fish, spinach, different variety of bread and tau fu fa

- knows how to wave "bye-bye"

- gives us a slurpy wet kiss on the cheek when she's in good mood!

- knows how to extend her arms when she wants us to carry

- calls for us when she wants attention

- poo twice a day :P

- sits steadily without support

- knows how to pass anything that she's holding from her left hand to the right hand

- still cries when strangers talk to her

- instead of sleeping once she gets on the car, she now wants to sit/stand up to look at cars/trees/road

- bites my finger when I clean her tongue and gum!

- pulls everything in sight when we carry her.. first thing she aims for would be our specs, followed by our hair, earrings and necklace

- know how to sit on her own and play with her toys. Not for long tho... after abt 10 minutes or so, she'll get bored and start calling for attention

She still has not started teething yet. We see white marks on her gum, but the baby tooth just have not decided to erupt. Hopefully she wont be in too much discomfort when that happens. Nowadays, everytime we think her temperature is slightly high, or when she 'lets go' more than twice, we say "Anne might be teething"... Dunno for sure when she'll be really teething..

She's sleeps more now, going to bed at around 11pm or so and sleeps through until about 8am the next day. If it's a weekend, she'll sleep with us until about 9+ before waking up and calling for milk :) She doesnt really need me to sing her lullabys now .. just need to hold her hand, pat her abit and she'll doze off. I'll pull her pacifier from her once she's asleep coz books/articles say that sucking hard on a pacifier interferes with the allignment of her teeth next time.

She doesnt jerks up as often in the midlle of the night, mostly will just give out ONE cry and then go back to sleep. I've learnt to ignore that cry, and will only wake up to check on her if she lets out more than 1 yell. :P

We've started feeding her meals on the high chair. She now sits steadily without suddenly leaning backwards, hitting her head on the hard backsupport of the chair. She can also sit on trolleys when we go shopping, holdin on the the trolley bar, swinging her legs like a big girl :)

*Sigh*... so fulfilling to see her progress ... nothing beats this experience of seeing our own flesh & blood grow :)

p/s: by the way, I was serious when I said I wanted to loose weight... :P
