The bug's going round...
On Dec 31st 2009, both the men of the house were down with flu...
A week after that, the 2 Leong princesses caught the bug...
Now that almost everyone is up and going, the baby of the family caught it...
Tho it's just a slight temperature increase to 37.2d, it's enough to cause the little one to be really uncomfortable, hence comes a whole lot of complaint from her. She cant sleep at night (and so the mommy also didnt get any sleep), she doesnt have much appetite and is extremely manja.
Of course we dont mind the manja part, but it would be so much better if she could manja us without the occasional cough and warm body temperature.
Di brought Anne to Dr. Chua yesterday afternoon when her temperature came back after bath. It has been 3 days since the fever went off and came back. At the clinic, as usual, she struggled and cried like crazy when the doctor tried to examine her. Poor gal.. i dread thinking that I've to bring her for her hep.B jab in February. Thinking of how she'll cry and struggle breaks my heart. Anyway, doc said her fever isnt really serious but her throat is slightly red. So gave us some fever and throat meds without antibiotics. Anne weighs at 11.2kg at 17months now.
I'm wondering if teething might be the cause to such illness; coz we can see MANY teeth coming up now! White signs on her gum in front as well as the back... Considering the number of teeth popping up all at once, Anne has really been an angel.. Not much complaints coming from her; unlike the babies from the Baby forums that I came across. where they would refuse to sleep, drink, eat and the list goes on and on...
She seems better today. No fever from morning til now (and I hope it wont ever come back). She's very tired tho. Slept at 10pm last night, got up for milk once, then woke up at 10.30am this morning. Slept again at 11.30am, woke up at 1pm, and now, at 3.30pm, she's in her sarong again. Sigh.. when will she be back to the talkative, active and cheerful self? *worried / heartache*
Like what I said kazillion times before this, I rather be sick myself 10,000 times than to have my baby sick once.... to the one up there, please let Hee Ving Anne be healthy again. Thank You!
