Misc updates

It has been a long time.

So much to update.

First being Jyn's growth chart:-
2nd month: W (4.61kg); L (59.5cm); Head (40cm)
3rd month: W (7.02kg); L (63cm); Head (41.8cm)
4th month: W (7.56kg); L (64cm); Head (43cm)

During the 4th consultation, doc said that Jyn is not as tall/long as he should be. Probably because he is lazy and is not moving much. Just to put on note, this little boy has not started flipping himself over yet. Reading back my own post when Anne was at his age, Anne started to flip on the day she turned 4 months old. Jyn is now nearing 5 months, and there's no sign of him wanting to flip :S He has however turned on his side and learn how to turn his head almost to 180 deg! (lol)

On progress, at 4+ months now, he can drink up to 6 oz of breastmilk! However, if we were to feed him with Formula milk, he can barely finish 4.5oz. We alternate BM with FM daily, unless on days where my production is really high, then it'll be twice BM and once FM. How I wish I could go on full BM, but looking at my production, dont think that will ever happen. Anyway, I'm happy enough that I'm able to provide him with BM until this point. Wayyyyy better compared to how I did for Anne.

Other updates on the cheeky boy:-

- still drinks at 2.5 hours interval (he can last longer at night; usually one feed at about 2+ or 3+am, then the next one at about 6-7am. After the 7am feed, he can last until 11am)

- fusses ALOT at night. He has his own pattern of waking/sleeping. He would be at his best behaviour if we put him in his cot by 10pm. We would want to wake and come down to the hall to be in his sarong, latest by 8am.

- There was a period where he was soooo choosy of the person that lulled him to sleep. And sadly, the person that he chose was his Kakak and not his mom, neither was his dad (it was superbly heartbreaking for me). Luckily that phase has passed and he is closed to the Papa now;

- He doesnt recognize me alot - and I have no one but myself to blame as I barely see him when he's awake during weekdays. (am working on this one)

- He loves his bathing time and is very obedient when he's in the bath-tub. He doesn't kick when he's in the water, once you take him out, he starts kicking all the way until you fully dress him!

- He doesnt like to be on the potty. Put him on the potty for 5 minutes and nothing comes out. Once you remove him and put the nappy on, he pees/poo (pengsan case, right?)

- He's a very VERY jolly boy when he's not hungry/hot/sleepy. Loves it when you call his name or when you call him "baby"

- He is REALLY loud!! His cries are like squeaking speakers to the ears! No kidding!

- Needs ALOT of attention. When he's awake, he needs someone to be talking to him or else he'll complaint

- Have started to recognize faces. Hopefully his symptoms wont be as bad as his che-che and hopefully he remembers the mommy :P

On 4th September, while we were shopping at Empire Shopping Gallery, we came across this outlet where they shave babies head and makes use of the hair to be made into some gadget for souvenirs (paint brush, stamps, etc). Since Jyn's hair was falling and we were already contemplating to shave, we took the opportunity to just get it done. Boy-oh-boy, this little bunny boy really doesnt like people touching his head! He cried out so loudly when the shop owner tried to shave him! The lady said that out of so many babies that she had shaved, none cried like my baby boy! hehe.. and so, the photos on before, during and after :) We'll be having a paint brush made using Jyn's baby hair and it'll be ready in 2 months :)

On a separate now, Dearie has been absolutely awesome this time around! He's contributing a great deal with Jyn this time as he is more prepared/experienced in handling kids. I remember he used to be afraid to change Anne when she was small for fear that he would hurt her. This time? :) He can change, feed, clean, play, soothe, lull to sleep.. in short, he can do everything but bathe the little boy. Well, to be fair to him, he hasn't tried bathing him. If he were to try, am sure he'll be able to handle coz he's fairing so well as a Papa now! Both the girl and the baby boy loves him to bits!
And for me? Needless to say, when I see my man being so caring and loving towards our babies, my love for him just grew an extra mile! Hahahaha.. sorry for the public declaration of love, but this is just to put in note just how much I treasure my life partner sharing this journey with me. Frankly, if Dearier were to be less active in playing the parent role this time, I dont think I'll be able to take it. Working, breastfeeding and taking care of 2 children is just one word -- TOUGH! Luckily with all the support from him and the family at home, it makes things a tad bit easier.

On Anne, she has grown a big deal. Just recovered from a horrible episode of flu - cough, sore throat, runny nose, fever. There was this time where I had to pin her down to feed her medication coz she refused to take them though her temperature was almost hitting 39deg! She shivered after I tried to pin her down. Guess she was shocked that I used the hard way (just to make it clear, we tried all other ways - mixing with yogurt, taking away attention, getting Kakak to feed, etc etc). I was so heartbroken to see her in tears/shaking, that I ended up crying myself to sleep that night. When I was hugging her to sleep, she told me she doesnt want anymore medicine and she promise that she wouldnt touch baby (coz I told her she cant touch Jyn if she's unwell or Jyn will be sick as well. Guess she deduced that if she promised not to touch her baby brother, even tho she's ill, she wont need to take meds). My heart was sooooooooo heavy when
she said that and there was this biggg huggeee lump in my throat. I couldnt tell her anything else but she'll be ok and hugged her tightly to sleep; then silently prayed that I could be sick her for and for her to be well soonest.

Anyway, sad stories aside, she has since recovered, though there's still abit of phlegm. She is REALLY talkative now, talking about everything that happened the entire day. She is a little more sociable now, wanting always to play and talk to :-

1) her cousins in Sitiawan (we went to Sitiawan during the raya break, and belief it or not, after we returned, every other day she asks me what's the name of the che-ches in Sitiawan and when will it be the next time that she can play with them)

2) Aunty Butterfly and Uncle Barney (which came and played with her and successfully gotten her attention with all the pressies they brought)

3) Yee Ma - simply loves Yee Ma (we have no idea why) to the point where she wants to look at Yee Ma's photo before she goes to sleep and off/on tells us to telephone Yee Ma coz she wants to speak to her!!

We have enrolled Anne to kindy (Q-Dees) 2 weeks ago and she'll be starting school next year. She's very excited to go to school as she saw the playground and the swimming pool there! After the registration that weekend, she ask me daily "When is anne anne going to school??" :) Hopefully she likes going to school when she officially starts schooling!

Just yesterday, she asked the Papa:-
Anne: Papa, do you love me?
Dearie: Of course I love you
Anne: *shy smile* I love you too (hehe)

awwwww.......

Alright, photos for a smile now :)
