38 weeks

Frankly, I thought the Kwok Jyn was ready to come out anytime already.
But the consultation to the gyane this morning said otherwise.

Baby's head has yet to engage, still floating happily above the tunnel :S We could actually still see his complete features, could have another 3D photo summore! haha

Doc told me to do more squatting exercise to guide baby's head down to the tunnel. It was apparently easier for the baby to engage during the first pregnancy as the cervix has never been dilated before. But since this is the 2nd, the mommy will have to do more homework.. More squatting, more kegel to help the cervix wall to soften and stretch... sigh..

Did the internal scan today together with the test to see if there are any germs along the tunnel/cervix that might harm the baby during delivery. Results will be out in a week, and if there's bacteria found along the cervix wall, I'll have to take antibiotics to clear them off before the little one comes through.

I had a sleepless night as I thought doc would be doing the stretching of cervix (aka finger test) today. But since baby has not crowned, all Dr. Tan did was to test how far in the baby is and to get some tissues for testing. Baby's position is at -3. He should be at -1 and that's where the doc will help stretch the cervix to promote dilation.

Surprisingly, tho I have no appetite during this pregnancy, baby Kwok Jyn appears to be slightly bigger compared to his sister at this stage. When Ving Anne was born, she was at 3.05kg. Now, at approx 38 weeks, Kwok Jyn is already almost at 3.1kg! Anyway, that aside, everything is perfectly fine. The weight itself is good, heartbeat, bloodflow, all is well. Fingers crossed that with me doing more squats (without getting cramps half way!!), baby will say "hi" to everyone really soon!!!

and here's our little che-che
