2 eventful months
I've so much to update, I dont know where to start. From the nutshell, following happened during these 2 months where I went MIA:-
1) Our baby boy celebrated his one-year old birthday! :)
2) Jyn suspected to have Hand, Foot & Mouth illness
3) Anne and Jyn on repeated cycles of flu
4) Anne coughed continously for 2 months, resulting her to be on inhalers
5) Lil boy has started walking
6) We went for our first family holiday (only ourselves without Dimi & Xzan!!) to Cameron Highlands - the kids loved it there!
7) Anne had her first Sports' Day
8) The fengshui master has finally completed his fengshui calculation and gave us our new names :P
9) I went to Singapore for a 2D1N training, leaving the kids to Dearie :P
Ok... That's the overall summary.. Shall go on abit on updates on the kids and will start with Jyn...
Celebration of his first birthday was at Equatorial Bangi. The darling boy had a really good time, celebrating with all of us!
Milestones of our baby:-
- Has started calling Papa from month-8 onwards
- Crawls with his knee/feet - a very special stunt.. he doesnt go on all-4, but with a knee on the floor and the other feet on the ground; as if to support himself if he falls. Well, he has fell a couple of times and you can see if on the photos above - the "kwok jyn tower on his forehead" :P
- Has many many manyyyyyy teeth already, so far with approx 9 and still counting
- Is a very VERy VERYyyyYyyy fussy boy, especially when he's teething
- Has started walking with assistance from month 11 onwards - ie, he'll walk confidently when he holds on to our finger.
- Has started walking confidently on his own (without holding on to us) from month-12 (specifically on 27 May) onwards. and it spells TROUBLE! he just keeps walking and walking and walking... oh gosh..
- Loves eating corn. Give him a corn when you're out and on a dining table, he'll sit quietly and enjoy his yummy food
- Doesnt like to eat hard boiled eggs
- Sleeps abit longer during the day; at times can last to about 1.5 hours
- Sweats alot and due to that, we've shaved his head 3 times so far :P
- Doesnt drink much milk.. he has reduced from 7oz to 6oz as he cant finish it most of the time. Is using teat 4 since 2 months ago...
- Doesnt really mix with strangers but doesnt cry out when someone unfamiliar is close to him. He just wouldnt smile or allow them to carry him (wayyy better compared to his cheche... hehe)
- Still wake up once in the middle of the night for milk.. well, actually depends if he eats during our dinner time. If he does, he sometimes can last until about 7am before he wakes for milk
- Sits on the dinner table with us for "snack". loves eating rice with soup and all our dishes
- Tried durian at 12 months old and he absolutely loves it! yay! :D
- He knows how to pick up a ball, throw it away, then walk to the ball to pick it up again
- Legs/knees are strong. He can walk to a certain toy, bend/squat down to pick it up, then stand again :)
- Still learning how to stand up after seating down without holding on to something
- Loves going on rides, going to mall,... well, basically going out! When we walk out from the house into the car, he'll be smiling with joy
- Loves watching the Ah Beng series!!! :S yes, i know!! So unbelievable, right? He loves the Ah Beng main soundtrack! Everytime we sing it, he'll be dancing and beaming happily! So much so that Anne has learnt how to sing the whole song for her brother!!
- Loves his papa.. has slowly started to like me a little more :P
- Sticks to Desy like glue... Seriously! like glue!!
- Is really loud! His laughs, his cries.. all ear piercing! When he cries at night (especially when he's unwell), he is so loud that he wakes everyone!
- Doesnt like to drink water, but we're slowly getting him to drink a little more..
- Have started both Jyn and Anne on probiotics. They are also on cod liver oil and Anne on Vit C as well.
- He doesnt like the doctor :P Brought him for his 1 year old immunization booster and he yelled and cried like crazy the moment we entered the paed's room!! the doc never even had the time to look at him and the poor boy started crying pitifully.. /sigh...
- So far has experienced fever up to a max of 39. During the time where we suspected that he HFMD, he was the most helpless.. Dearie and I as well.. Both didnt know what to do. Luckily Jyn's a strong boy. Recovered quickly, only to get runny nose and slight fever 2 weeks later due to teething. He had very stuffy/blocked nose... so we got the nasal spray from the paed (salt water spray) with helps a little.
- The little boy is a joy to be with... young, energetic and with LOTSA facial expressions... photos below can show you what I mean...
