Milk tooth
18 November 2013 - the afternoon where my baby girl lost her first milk tooth! A big milestone I would say! I wasnt quite ready for this milestone myself as I nvr thought that she would start changing teeth so quickly as her milk tooth sprout REALLY late!!
So... it started when her lower front tooth was found loose about 3 days before. She was so scared when she noticed that it was moving that she started crying out loud during picnic time! Grandpa and Grandma did what they do best in reassuring her that its nothing to be scared about and every child goes through the process.
That evening.. we reassured more that everything will be ok and told her the story of the toothfairy. Told her that if she has been a good girl, after her tooth comes off, the toothfairy will come and visit when she is sleeping and take away her tooth to be repla ed with RM1... and then bless her with beautiful permanent teeth. She was convinved and she happily obeyed instructions when we told her to move her tooth with her tongue and move it more when she is bathing.
On the event day, the tooth was already very loose. After school, when she took her bath, Erma just lightly move it a little and wallaa!! The tooth drop off! No blood, no fuss and most importantly.. NO TEARS! Anne was so amazed to see her tooth that she started jumping with joy! Jyn was equally excited and ran out to tell grandpa/grandma the news!
The little tooth was only a size of a kuaci! We kept it in a small container. That night, we told her to quickly go to bed as the toothfairy will only come when good girls are fast asleep.
And so... the toothfairy did what she had to do. A RM1 in an angpow, topped up with a big star for her Christmas tree top :)
Our little girl was a happy lady the next morning.
And so that's a great milestone achieved. Very successful I would say as the whole process was very smooth and she wasnt scared by it.
So... we expect to have lots more of these experiences as the tooth next to the one that came off is also loose now. We're quite sure that by Christmas this year, Ms Hee Ving Anne will be singing 'All I Want For Christmas is My Two Front Teeth!' Hehe
