Trip to Lòst World of Tàmbun
Planned an adhoc trip here a day before our planned trip to Penang. Also to break the journey to Penang as its bored for the kids to travel to Penang in 1 seating.
Booked the Lost Wòrld Hotel and booked the tickets online. (Thankfully coz the que to purchase tickets at the counter was quite long ~ prolly coz its school holidays).
We were lucky that the hotel had our room ready so we could check in b4 walking over to the theme park. Entered the theme park at around 11.30am.
The theme park is ok la.. sunway lagòon has way more rides, but this place has many different pools.
Jyn tried on his first scary ride, ie, the pirate ship. He got really scared and I had to ask the staff if he could stop the ship coz Jyn was really scared. Luckily the staff was nice and stopped it immediately! Green was pucat when he came down and we had to had him sit down for a sec before proceeding to our next stop! Hehe
We saw some tigers, snakes, porcupines, ponies, roosters, lots of ducks, fishes and swans. Jyn rode on a little pony and we went into the mini petting zoo. It was a dissapointment that the area was under upgrading so they removed the rabbits. But the parrots made up for it. Dearie started whistling and the parrots all came flying to our hands, much to the kids delight!
After that we went for a simple lunch inside the theme park (we r not allowed to bring food inside, water was fine). Food wasnt really expensive. Not much choices, but bearable.
After lunch, we changed into our swim suits and got ready for the pools. Rented 2 lockers at RM15 each. I bought the water proof phone pockets so we could bring our phones with us when we play at the water parks.
Went for tubing at around 3pm and dipped in the main big pool. Didnt have much time coz it was already about 5pm by the time we reached the main pool. Tried one of the hotspring pools which was more bearable for the kids (37deg).
At around 6, we walked back to the hotel, showered and went to Paparich for dinner (adjacent to the hotel).
After dinner, went back into LostWord as we bought tickets for the Night Hot Spring & Spa as well. There were night performances and kids below 8yo could cycle for free. But the kids werent interested as they wanted to jump back into the pool! Yes, all the pools were still open! If we knew earlier, we wouldnt sit under the hot sun in the afternoon!!
There were easily 6-7 different hot springs around with different temperatures, ranging from 37 to 43 deg! The kids changed into their swim wear and tried the pools one by one. They didnt like the hot pools and settled with the kids pool with slides and thereafter the main pool again (the one we were at in the afternoon).
At around 9.30pm, they voluntarily came up from the pool, requested for frozen yogurt (sold in one of the food stalls inside) and happily walked back to the hotel for the 2nd bath (there r toilets/showers inside the themepark, but why rush with everyone there when we have our own hotel room, right? :D )
Ok.. its now 11.45pm. I dont think i can feel my legs fr the whole day's walking! Lets call it a night now! :D
