The pretty nest we call Home ♡

Renovations started right after CNY this year on 18 February 2016, a date where the wet works contractor said its a good date to start work.

As much as we originally didnt want to and didnt have the time to be main-con ourselves, we finally ended up managing all the various contractors ourselves anyway, from wet works extension & piping works, wiring and cabling works, plaster ceiling, lightings, acond works, painting works, grilles, pegola, movers, cabinets, curtains, etc. Out of so many contractors, we met one horrible grille contractor which delayed the completion of the house for more than 2 mths. Anyway, we found someone else to take over the works and everything was completed nicely. So everything from A to Z took about 6 months to complete.

We decided on the colour tones and curtains ourselves and let the kids chose their own colours and design as well :)

Consultant Uncle Ah Jai on the auspicious date for moving in and he did some cleansing works for us prior to that.

Today, 20 July, we invited the KuanYin down from the altar so that we could shift the altar table to the new house.

At night, with Xzan's help, we hung up the red cloth, prepared the charcoal burner and turned on all the lights over the night.

Tomorrow will be the day where we will invite the KuanYin over at 8am. From there, hardcore shifting will start (beds, cabinets, tables, electrical items, acond, unifi, astro, diamond water, etc). Upon shifting all these.. I will then bring our clothes over.

Tonight, will be the last we spend in this first home of ours. From 21 April 2007 to now, this home has brought only happy memories and achievements! From only the both of us to now a complete 4. From both of us being executives to now both being Directors. We have grown, mentally, physically, in soul and in heart.

This place will always be our first home... we r now shifting out with lots and lots of happy memories where we can look back, reminisce and smile.

Am very sure we will be moving on to our new Home which will bring more happy memories where we will share with all our loved ones!
