CNY update!

wokie... it's the last day of CNY and since parents/xzan are all not home to fight for the computer with me, I shall do abit of updating to my seriously-negletted blog :P

This year, apart from not having enough new clothes to "show-off", the one thing that REALLY potong stim was the super irritating virus in my immune system which causes me to be on constant sleepy/tired/lethargic/sickly-mode! Imagine! THROUGHOUT CNY I was feeling as tho I'm having fever and need to rush to bed to feel better.. how shitty, right?

Anyways, other than not feeling on-top-of-the-world, CNY was great.. The annual gatherings with all the relatives were fun and gossip-y! hehe..

CNY #1:
Woke up at noon, in time to message Irene for tea at KFC at 3pm :P Had a good catch-up with this dear girl and headed home with lotsa gifts from her, supposingly for my house-warming.. but sigh.. I dont even know when I'm moving into my new place yet.. Anywayz, Thanx Girl!!! At night, went to SamKuMa's place for dinner and the usual gambling. This is the first time in 5 years (I think) that I didn't bring Xzan and clan for a movie at Leisure Mall on CNY #1; thanx to the viral infection :P Nvm sis,.. shall go watch movie with u one of these days after CM's big day, k!

CNY#2:
Back to Rawang (mom's hometown) for lunch. Met couz's new gf which shares my name (yikes!). PoPo is still as blur as ever. She looked straight into my eye this time and said "Chan, wheel me back to my room". Goosebumps!!! Goosebumps!!! "Chan" is mom's chinese name and grandma thought I was mom!!!!! Xzan and I exchanged weird glances and decided to act as if we didn't hear her! hahaha.. Mi was supposed to visit her fren's place, but thanx to the virus within me again, the "wai tai" mommy decided to head home instead! hehehe..

At night, went to Kevin's place for dinner and another round of gambling session and Lou Sang.

CNY #3:
Dearie returned from Sitiawan and being the well-loved darling, helped to cook/prepare for dinner. It's an annual thingy where all dad's side relatives come to our place for dinner on the 3rd day of CNY. On this day, mom prepares kazillion dishes for everyone. This year round, we had tomyam prawn, fishes, yam&pork, vege, soup, century eggs, chinese sausages, mushroom chicken, fu-chuk&pork, etc etc.. Superb combination of dishes and everyone had the satisfied look on their faces after dinner. We then had the card session again, and thereafter, yet another session of lou sang!

CNY #4:
Laze around at home most of the day and at night, went for dinner at Wong Kok Restaurant, curtosy of 2nd uncle. Thereafter, visited their place for a short while and called it a night coz I was still feeling unwell.

CNY #5:
Practically slept my day away and at night, had lou sang at home AGAIN!!!!

CNY #6:
Many people started work today (including dearie) but I was still sleeping away until 1pm! haha.. Went to godpa's place in the afternoon and cousin sis's place at night. We usually visit this cousin during the day time, but this year round, due to timing issues, went there at night, and boy-oh-boy.. what a different experience, man!! The uncles/aunties literally forced (well.. to put it in a better way, "requested") my cousin to be banker and started the card session. After playing cards, we had lou sang with abalone! and that came with shandy, chinese tea, beer, liquor and what nots... geezzz!!! I think after this year, all the uncles will make it a yearly affair to go there (especially so if he serves lou sang with abalone again!!!) muahahah... kidding..kidding

CNY #7
Dinner at cousin's place at Cheras. First time they invited us to their place for dinner during CNY. Simple nice dishes were served. It's all it takes to have a good gathering :)

CNY #8:
No CNY mood... was emo-ing coz had to go back to work on Monday (bawls!!!!!). AND we had another round of lou sang again on Sunday! hahaha.. at the stroke of midnight, the hokkiens at this part of the world lighted fireworks like nobody's business! It's as though fireworks are legal in Malaysia! If I hadn't know better, I would have thought it's world war 3 coz the sound of all the combined cracker were actually SCARY!!! The "bombing" lasted until abt 3.30 am and well, I could only fall asleep thereafter!

CNY #9:
Back to work. Thanx to all the hokkiens, I was a walking zombie in office. No working mood. Was day-dreaming most of the time and was constantly hoping that I could turn back time so that it's CNY #2 instead of CNY #9 :P

CNY #12:
Lion-dance and open house at Plaza Permata. Yearly grand affair. Took many photos, but haven't got my hands onto them yet. Will upload some once I get to see them.

CNY #14:
DiMi treated all to dinner at Kajang Restaurant. Nice dinner that came with wine and for 2 tables, the dinner came to RM950+!!!! *Gasps!* Yet another round of gambling session at my place (the last round for the year) and many many photo opportunities..

well, below are the special moments captured during CNY 2007:-
