DA shoot @ 12/05/07

Well, a super late post, but better late than neva..

Finally had our wedding photo shoot. Most people ask "Why so soon?? Isnt the wedding set in November?" Well, we were thinking, better get it done with lorr.. besides, there would be far too many people wanting to take their photos come June, July / August as the peak wedding period (ie, 4th quarter of the year) would be really near! Wouldn't wanna rush with the last minute group of people and .. HOPEFULLY, since we took the photos earlier, we would have plenty of time to choose, think and edit the album!

ok.. prior to the shoot, the super-sis treated me to my first ever medicure at JJ, Mid Valley. Super friendly people and super good service. Nice nails, huh? Dont ask how much it cost coz it's not something that I wanna remember! hehe... those are actually fake nails affixed on top of my originals. They artist would shape the fake nails according to my finger size, buff it, clean it, polish it, and finally, draw on it according to the design that Xzan and I chose.

On 11/05/07, the whole family was very excited. We asked Mi's help to ironed dearie's clothes/pants as I couldn't do anything with the new stick-on nails (the nails had small lil diamonds, ok! we were told not to do any chores so that it'll last longer!hehehe... lame excuse, i know :P ) The ironing and chit-chatting lasted until abt 1am!! So much for sleeping early the night before! hehe...

The next day, 12/05/07..
We were suppose to reach Superstar at 10.30am but we only got there at about 11.15am. There were already 2 brides sitted in front of the makeup desk and 2 guys sitting at the waiting area, looking as if they've waited for a decade or so!!!

We enthusiastically told the makeup artist that we're scheduled for photo shoot that day and she lined me up for make up. There are 2 makeup artist, 1 hairstylist and 4 photographers/cameramen that day. Since there were no makeup artist to attend to me, the tailor told me to pick my outdoor gown and re-try the gowns that I've chosen the previous round. Everything went well and I manage to get a gown, tho I had to choose from the "Bigger size" corner, but well, I think the gown can still pass-laa..

Started my make up at around 11.45 and finished at 12.30! Dearie got his share of all the ampuls, face powder and hair styling. By 1pm, we were off with our photographer, Yong, to our outdoor destinations, a building at Setapak, and Tasik Titiwangsa. We had fun, but was REALLY embarrasing. We had to act as if there were no one else in the world but us and smile so happily despite sweating our ass off in/out!!! The public were looking at us with smiles when we had to do according to what Yong said, ie "ok, look at the lamp pole and smile" yadda yadda..

Went back to the studio at almost 3.30pm. Dearie ordered packet food for lunch and we called DiMi/Xzan to come over for the family photo. Meanwhile, dearie and I started the marathon of makeup touch up, numerous changing of clothes & hairstyle, posing like super models and never-ending smilling!!

DiMiXzan reached at almost 5pm and we started our family shoot. We were only suppose to have 5 shots but I think we ended up taking 50!!!! Mi was so thrilled with the cameraman and the backdrops they have there! Yong even suggested to Di & Mi to take their anniversary album in Superstar!

After the family shoot session, I had 2 more night gowns and 2 more foreign gowns to go. Dearie had his pick on all those la-la baju (that we would NEVER buy) in order to match my gowns! Gosh.. you should see how he waltzed with every coat/shirt he wore!!! There I am, bein tortured by the hairstylist (he had to pull and comb my hair to style it coz he changes the style for every gown and he gives me the impression that he sprays a whole bottle of moose everytime he styles it!!!) and he pulak happily choosing all the fancyful coloured tops! hmmph! Then again, I'm happy that we both enjoyed the photo session as the two other couples there in the studio with us the other day looked as if they were forced to be there! The makeup artist told us they had choosen the 4-outdoor package.. FOUR OUTDOORS!!! Can u imagine!? I had one and I was so glad to be back at the studio thereafter!! That explains the kesian look on the brides AND the grooms. I actually REALLY pitty both the couple. Pity the bride coz all the gowns are super heavy and they had to walk in/out with it. Pity the groom coz he had to drive all the way to all the 4 different outdoor locations.. aihh.. super kesian ..

ok.. enough said. The whole session lasted until about 10pm. Negotiated and got my makeup artist to come to Kajang on the actual date for my makeup (morning & night) and the cost? A blooming RM600!!!! dammit!!! #$%$^$ those money suckers! But what to do? Already spent so much, might as well right? coz I definately wouldn't wanna end up looking like a Miss Jinjang with any TomDickHarry makeup artist from Sg. Chua.. hehe

right.. the next step is to choose the photos that we want. It'll be on 23/5/07 :) Stay tuned ;)
