The Wedding

Yo all!! The KL dinner has been done with and it was a SUPER SPLENDID ONE! Well, not only the dinner, the whole 11/11/07 was smooth, nice, happy and memorable! So far, I only remember that everything went super well.. no -ve comments received yet besides the food at Federal..

wokay.. so for those who missed the wedding (fong & adri particularly), do read on... for those who were there, u might just want to wait till the next post with photos (most of the pix are with the professional photographer. Yet to receive them) as this would be a super long one :)

Here it goes....
on 9/11/07 (Friday):
Dearie's 4th Sis from Sitiawan arrived with the BMW 530i (WQN 88). This car is less than a month old and it belongs to the 4th sister's boss, Mr. Tan. Xzan & I went for medicure at Leisure Mall in the evening and at night, Dearie's family helped to decorate the house with all the Hei words :)

on 10/11/07 (Saturday):
Woke up at 8.30am to go head to KL to tie the wedding car and collect corsages from Petaling Street. Plan didnt go well as the whole KL was FREAKING JAM due to the demonstration at Merdeka Square / Istana. Police blocks were everywhere and thus, the long long loonnngggg que. Added with heavy downpour, everyone just sat in their cars with a blank look. But Dearie and I were happily chatting inside the car as it's gonna be our big day soon!! :)

Took us half a day to complete the 2 task above and returned to Kajang at approx. 1pm. Once we reached, the whole situation became soooooo kecoh!! Dear's family were cooking at the new house, waiting for the 2nd and 3rd sister to arrive for lunch. We were suppose to tie up the red cloth at the main door and I had to pack all my stuff to be brought back home to my Parent's as Dear and I are to sleep separately the night b4 the wedding.

And so at approx 4pm, Dear and I went back to my Parents to tie the red cloth here and also helped with the Hei words. Dear went back to the new house to prepare for dinner and we at home did the same.

At my side, relatives and friends (chi mui's) started coming at around 7pm... The food arrived at 7.30pm and thank god, rain stopped just in time for dinner :) All the chi mui's met after chatting thru email for quite some time. Those who were here: Siew Lan (& Chee Mun), Hooi San, Bee Yong, Joanne W., Angie (& Anthony), Joanne Ang, Siow Sung, Jean and Soo Shin. Thanx sooo much to JA,SS and Jean as they purposely came down and rented a room at Metro Inn so that they'll make it in time for the Chutt Mun session the day after! *Hugz* and oh! Not missing the super sexy gift from u girls from La Senza! well erm... to make it short, my dear Husband loves the gift 100000x more than I do! :P

The dinner went well and all relatives were super jolly othat night! By 11pm, most relatives headed home so that we can prepare to knock the bed. The IGB girls stayed on as we had a plan :) ie, to celebrate Jean's birthday that so happen falls on 11/11. And so, at abt 11.45pm, we sang the song and cut the cake. and since it's Jean, all the hugs and kisses were not to be missed! hehehe...

At 12 midnight, I had my flower bath and headed to bed, waiting anxiously for the sun to rise! :)

(oh gosh! I've only covered the night b4 and the post so super long dy!!! hooowww???) hahaha

On 11/11/07 (Sunday a.k.a THE DAY!)
Woke up at 6am. Makeup artist and hairstylist arrived at 7am and chi mui's started flowing in at 8am. In between, Edmund (my very professional videographer) arrived at 7.30am and Low (my very professional photographer at 8.15am). All chi mui's arrived before 8.30am (and this includes yinng yinng, the standby bridesmaid when Xzan was bz and standby photographer) and started preparing the "goodies" for the groom at kitchen, as well as, help out with the kuih and packet drinks! Thank god for them! or else how is Xzan gonna do these all by herself!!!

Cousins and relatives started coming at 8.45 and the kekocohan began! Photo taking, chatting, and anxiety all sinking in... At 9.15am, the honking came and whoa!!!! THE REAL MEANING OF EXCITEMENT sank in! hahahaha... so da happy and excited and gan jeong all at the same time! All the chi mui's rushed to lock the main door and Xzan was with me the entire time in the room, trying to vizualise what's happening outside. Karl Sheen, ie, the boy that opened the door for the Groom was equally excited and needed to be reminded to smile! WAhhahAHa! Feedback was that the Groom and his Heng Dai's (Alan, Patrick, TaiLo, Weng Seng & Joo Aun) were super sporting and finished all the task in a blink of an eye! UNBELIEVABLE, I tell ya!!! hahaha...

After all the games, I finally met my hubbie :) Sweaty and all, but still as lovable! :) Thereafter, came the tea-ceremony and photo opportunity. I think this is the first time the WHOLE family had a photo together (save except for 3gujeong, Ei-Leen and Joe, who just couldnt make it for the celebration).

At 10.30am, headed over to the Groom's side. Mrs. Chung said we have to reach the Groom's side before 11am. Once there, we prayed to the Dad-in-Law, Kuan Yin and then, the tea-ceremony again. Everyone headed to Hai Lik for a simple lunch (6 tables all-in).

(wokie.. no more photos from here as I do not have any snapped in our own cameras. All the supposedly cameraman/women only snapped pix of themselves instead of me! hmpph! :P So well, lets wait for the professional photographers pix instead, ya!)

After lunch, rushed back to the new house to pack our stuff for the night. Took my bathe, catched my breathe and zoom! Headed to KL (dropped Xzan and YikMun at Pavillion for them to do their hair) and went straight to Superstar, Jln Ipoh for my own makeup and hairdo. The makeup session took longer than expected and we only manage to head back to Federal to check-in (we were given a FOC room for the night, compliment from the Hotel since we were having our wedding dinner there) at 5.15pm. Kevin, the Parents, the MCs, were all there.

Rushed to prepare ourselves and went back to the restaurant at about 6.45pm. Suprisingly, some of the guest were already there!!!! The reception was just about to set up, so well, a little chaotic there, but still manageable all thanx to my Dai Biu Sou and her hubby/sons & Khen Lam. If it wasn't for them, wahhh.. I dare not imagine how chaotic the floor would be!

Guest started flowing in groups at 7pm... and the reception was super bz the whole night right until 8.15pm. The cue was to start at 8.20. So at 8.15, the dear MCs (Xzan & Sue Lynn) announced that dinner was about to start. At 8.20pm, the oh-so-familiar Cinderalla tune filled the air and geezzz, both Dearie and I walked into the hall with my flower girls in front of us! :) Happy smilley faces everywhere!

and so... the night started :) Xzan made a video that show baby Natallie and baby Chee Meng, our courting days and our registration. A VERY VERY VERRYYYYY nice video and I'm darn glad she manage to do it (with the help of Si Mou Jai :) ). Xzan, it was just SUPERB, ok!! I loved every second of the video! Really!!

Then there was the cake cutting and champagne opening ceremony, followed by a change of gown, the stage toasting and thereafter, the table-to-table toast! The most memorable table toast was obviously from my Kajang frenz as they were the noisiest, jolliest and most demanding table! I had my first gulp of liquor that night and well, I guess I can drink after all, as I remained sober! hahahaha...

After the last table, parents, us and Xzan made the line outside the restaurant to thank every guest that came to helped made the wedding such a memorable night. We didnt manage to thank everyone as time wasnt ngam... so well, here's my word of thanks:-

Thanks to my parents, as without their love and support, we wouldnt be able to plan the dinner so nicely.

Thanks to my sis, as without her, the dinner wouldnt be as nice and memorable.. or frankly, without her, I dont think I'd manage to pull the whole dinner together!! Thanx for putting up to all my absurb demands and my 300% irrirating attitude 2 weeks b4 the wedding. Thanks for getting Sue Lynn to help become MC at the very last minute. Thanx for standing by and telling me "Just tell me everything that u need to do and I'll do it for u". You do not know how much that means to me! Thanks for downloading all the crazy stupid songs that I wanted in the wedding cd. My dear, thanks for everything! LOVE U SUPER SUPER LOTS!

Thanks to my relatives (expecially Kevin, Khen Lam, Yik Mun, Wai Choong's family, Waverly, Raymond&Karyn (who came back all the way from Singapore!), Wai Bing's family and all that were involved) as without you guys, I wont know how we're gonna handle everything by ourselves! And also not forgetting Richard&Bernice who flew back from NZ and Jason fr US. Thanks so much for coming back!!!

Thanks to all my chi muis and dearie's heng dais as without you guys and girls, the day/night wouldnt be as fun as how it was. All your help is appreciated tremendously and we cant thank you enough!!!

Thanks to Fong (tho u werent there at the dinner, your daily conversations with me helped so much in preparation for the dinner!! and not forgetting the "Just Married" sign :) )

Thanks to Xzan's friends (namely, Yinng2, Evelyn, Sue Lynn, Chiew Fei, Si Mou Jai and all who contributed the the list of wedding songs.. I hope you know who you are)... without these bunch of young and hyper people, the night wouldnt be complete!!!

Thanks to all Guest that were there during the dinner and all those that didnt manage to come but contributed ang pows and well wishes. Thanks to all my friends (UTMers, Kajang Girls/Guys friends, scholars and IGB friends) as all of u helped make the night super jolly for me! :) Thanks for making it all the way from Penang, Labuan and Johore and all other states! Arigato!

and finally and most importantly,
Thanks to my dearest hubby... It was you who made me belief that every other thing is not important so long as your love for me is true and sincere. Thanks for making me feel like the princess of the night and making it up to me for all that I wanted for this wedding and standing by with me during the lower times during the preparation for this important day. Thanks for putting up to all my merajuk sessions and making me feel that everything is in control and everything will go on as planned. Thanks for giving me such a memorable and cherishable wedding. ..And so my dear, our life journey begins here... It started so very well with love in the air... Lets keep this love going till the very end.. I Love You!
