Misc Updatez

First of all, before you read on or b4 you do anything else, turn on your speaker! ....
aaahHHhhhh.. hear the ever so calming music/song from The Little Mermaid?! Hehehehe... leong pei xzan, ngo ngoi sei nei ar! hehehehe..

Alright. Now for the updates. The weekend was good, fulfilling and full of activities.
On Saturday, we went for the JJ (Jackie Chan / Jet Li) movie. Not too good. Wouldnt recommend it unless you have extra cash and have absolutely nothing else to do. Both dearie and I cant telan the idea having the Chinese Monkey God / Jade God speaking English :P

At night, drove all the way to Teluk Gong for seafood dinner. Place was very nice, the ambiance was good as well, but I didnt fancy the seafood too much. I think it's becoz we chose the wrong preparation for all the major stuff we ordered (ie, the crabs, the prawns and the squid :P). Parents and sis seem to love the food (& toddy) there.. so will give this place another chance next round and order some more interesting dishes.

Sunday: Met with the 1/2-day Confinement Lady by the name of Siew Ying (SY). She's approx 40+, small sized and ok-looking. Doesnt have the fierce or "see-also-I-get-scared" kindda look. Asked what she does to help during confinement and charges (she charges RM1,200 for one month 1/2 day confinement service). What she does? Bathe for the baby, washes the baby/mommy's clothes, cooks for the mommy and some simple cleaning. She'll be at my place by 8am everyday and will leave when she has completed all her task. Her main concern was my eating habits and if I'll be able to stand eating whatever that a lady under confinement should eat (ie, stuff with lots and lots of ginger and wine). I told her I'm not sure as I've not tried. Dearie told her to just go according to her normal menu and should I not be able to tolerate the dishes, we'll change it as we go along. Was also discussed if she or we buy the raw ingrediants. Da mommy has suggested that she buys the stuff coz she only would know how much ingrediants she would require. Havent reverted back to SY on this.

We're also to get the essential stuff like a rice cooker, slow cooker, pots & pans, baby bath tub, oitment for baby to apply after bath, herbs for my bathing session, etc etc. I told her I know nuts abt all these and ask her to give me a list of what she needs and we'll go buy according to her list :) Paid her a deposit of RM200 and wallaa! I've confirmed my chef/helper for confinement :) One down, one more to go (ie, the Indon Maid).

Got kazillion biodatas from MNK Maid Agency (the one used by Leen's family right now) and a few by Princeton (recommended by Fong). The rates are almost the same and it's DARN difficult to choose a biodata that appeals to the eye / heart. Finally chosen someone by the name of Rohati from Lampung, Java. Was supposed to make down payment to MNK today, but the person in MNK didnt return my call after I left 3 messages for a return call. If this is the type of service that I'll be getting, I'm having second thoughts of whether I should use this agency at all.

Will wait until Friday to see if she calls me back. Otherwise, hm... will see if Princeton has anyone new that's good. Princeton's good. The contact person there is very friendly and helpful, but too bad, there isnt many biodatas going to that company at this moment. Sigh...

oh!!! Forgot to mention! I prepared honeydue bird's nest on Sunday as well!!!! hehe.. recipe courtesy of Angie and mmm-ahhhh.. it tasted so jolly good!!!! not to mention easy to prepare and it's nothing near like any of the herbal stuff :P Tasted more like tong-sui .. will definately make it again.

Will be going for Janice's concert at Stadium Merdeka tomorrow. Prays and hopes that she will not go off-key too many times and the weather be good as well...

Office matters are becoming a pain in the a*se. Sad and sickening to see how things are turning out. But well, like everyone says, I shall face it positively and shall not burden myself too much with worries / pressure; as I have the ever valid reason to carry the tidak-apa attitude - ie, I've got a growing princess in me! muahahaha!

Happy Labour's Day y'all!!!

~~ the 25-week preggie me :)
