Anne's first checkup

Returned to Britannia for Anne's first checkup after birth yesterday. Was a week late (was suppose to go back one month later, ie 4/9/08, but somehow due to timing and other dunno what reasons, we were a week late :P )

Anyway, Dr. Khoo says Anne looks alright. She has gained some weight, from 3.05kg at birth to 4.4kg now. Height wise, she was 48cm at birth and 56cm now. Doc says Anne's head is slightly big, but it's still normal at this point of time. Will have to monitor and see if the growth is normal the next few months. Doc also checked her eyes and the colour of her urine. Everything's ok.

After the above checks, Doc proceeded to give her the 2nd Hep. B booster. Her first was given together with the BCG jab during birth. Yesterday was her 2nd jab. Wahh.. the mommy so scared when saw the needle. Damn long and big. But little Anne's a brave girl. When Doc gave her the injection, she just gave out one cry, and that was it *Clap Clap.. good girl!!!* :)

Then Dearie asked Doc if it's normal for Anne to be having 6 oz of milk per feed every 4 hourly. Doc says its abit too much. At one month of age, she should be having the max. of 5 oz per feed. Or else she might be slightly too fat next time. Then again, I dont think I'll be reducing the amount coz right now, I'm givin Anne 5 spoons of powder, with 6 oz of water. So strictly speaking, she's only having 5oz of formula milk. The rest of the 1 oz is actually water. And also, I dont think I'll be able to reduce the amount as Anne wont be fulfilled with only 5oz. Will continue monitoring to see if Anne's gaining the right weight.

Note: I dont like the Doc. He seem very 'cold' and unfriendly towards the parents and do not have the caring look, unlike Doc Tan. Am not sure if it's because there were far toooo many babies last night. But even if he's having alot of patience, he should be professional enough to see each and every one with love, care and patience, right? Will give him one more chance next month. If he's still the same, it's bye-bye to Dr. Khoo.

When Jeremy was in trouble, he helped us a lot... All these in past tense becos one day Jeremy wasnt feeling well, mum went to SJMC to find him... Found out he just passed away a week earlier... was shocked to our bones! So sad...
