17th month...
On 4th January 2010, Anne touched her 17-th month.
Not much difference or prominent milestone compared to the 16th month.. but still a few things to mark down:-
- for the first time, held her own milk bottle and finished 7.5oz of milk before going to bed. She voluntarily opened the bottle-bag, took out the milk and asked me to open the cover for her so that she could drink it while watching tv!
- has FOUR teeth coming up at once, two molars (one on the top and bottom each) and two bodyguards (one next to the two-front-teeth on the top and bottom each). Frankly, the sight of the molars forcing itself out from the gum looks soooo painful! Babies are sooooooooooo strong to be able to withstand this pain, I tell u!!
- climbed up two steps of stairs at home. still learning how to come down on her own after going up.
- learning how to say "butterfly, banana, papaya and anne-anne"! At this moment, butterfly comes out as "papa-py" (when i heard it the first time, I thought she was saying "apple-pie!"), banana comes out as "nanana" and papaya comes out as "papa-yo"! And the best of all, the yee-yee's all time favourite - Anne Anne comes out as "Eh eh"!! hahahaha.. show her a photo of herself and she'll yell "EH EH!!!!" .. LOL
- When she sees us coming home from work, most of the time she'll run to us and give us a big hug and then extend her little hands for us to carry :)
- Loves the coins in my car... her favourite past time in the car now - taking out the coins from the coin compartment and passing them to the Papa or throwing the coins to the back (so if u come into my car now, you'll see coins everywhere :P
- Doesn't like us to carry her when we go to malls. Prefers to walk on her own and likes to flip thru all the hanging clothes while playing "abooo-chiak!" with us! *faints
Many more little accomplishments here and there but cant to think of any significant one now..
Shall just end this post with some photos snapped with our phones over the weekend..
