1 Malaysia Day holiday
No one dared go out today due to the Red Shirt rally in town.
So since we are home bound again, stayed in the kitchen the whole day and prepared simple meals.
Started with egg wraps with lettuce for breakfast.
Lunch was pasta with tomato-based sauce and sausages, mushrooms and ham.
Followed with mashed potatoes ball (panfried) and finally endamame.
Recipe for mashed potato balls
Ingrediants
- potatoes (cubes, boiled with abit of salt til soft)
- abit of butter
- 1 tbsp of milk
- black pepper
- sesame oil for extra taste
- 1 tsp of soya sauce
- blanched mushroon (cut finely)
- cooked sausages (cut finely)
-1 egg
When potatoes are soft and still hot, add in butter and mash well. When done, add in milk and mix well. Add in pepper, sesame oil and soya sauce and mix well.
Add in cut mushrooms and sausages. Mix and shape into balls. Dip balls into egg on both sides. Heat up abit of oil on the pan and fry til golden in colour.
Our balls didnt stay in place and was still very soft after frying. Next time will try coating with either bread crumbs or flour before frying.
