Jyn's first Fashion Show catwalk!

As mentioned in my previous post, Jyn got into finals for the school's Fashion Show!

The fashion show and talent time contest goes alternate year. Last year Anne joined the Talent Time singing the theme song from Frozen and finals was carried out at the Asa Jaya school.

This year, its at Jyn's school for the Fashion Show finals.

For the 3 & 4 year old category, there were 6 contestants. 2 from SgChua and 4 from Asa Jaya. So happen the 2 were from the same class, Barney4, ie Jyn and his class mate, Carine :)

To prepare for the finals, we downloaded the Wong Fei Hung theme song, went to Petaling Street to buy a 'china cap' and taught him a few poses, which he voluntarily practised! :D

We practised a few times at home and Jyn was always cheeky everytime he practised! We were thinking to ourselves, it would be great if he could be so confident, cheeky and happy on the actual day!

On the event day, all kids were very well prepared and dressed to the occassion! The little girls especially were all soooooo cute and pretty!!

Jyn was the only boy in his category and they drew lots to see who goes first. Jyn drew no.2 and was 2nd to perform.

When it was his turn, he confidently stepped out and waited for the music to start. There were some hiccups as the music got stuck and had to be replayed 3 times. Clever boy knew how to wait for the right beat before starting his cat walk! Boy oh boy! We were so pleasantly surprised when he walked up to the judges confidently, remembering every step and all the actions we told him! He even had his cheeky face with him the whole time! Ended his show perfectly with his wonderful poses!

Verdict: 2nd place in the finals competition for his category! (First was his dear friend, Carine!)

Such an achievement, darling boy! First time joining a school event and scored 2nd place!! Well done Jyn! We are all so sooooo proud of you!! ♡♡♡♡♡
