Our first jar of home made cookies

Kids have always wanted to bake cookies with me. Didnt have a chance previously as we didnt have an oven.

Finally had a chance to try today! Boy oh boy..it was a tiring 2-hour event but it was worth it!

Kids helped at every step except for mixing the dough with the hand mixer.

Through this exercise, I noticed 2 things:
- anne has interest in cooking / baking but she lacks patience
- jyn is really patient in whatever he does. He stood next to me for a good half hour or so to roll the choc balls nicely, arranged them on the tray and slowly decorated the balls with sparkles. (Anne did it half way and went off.. instead of slowly decorating the sparkles, she took the shortcut after awhile and poured in onto the cookies --')

The cookies tasted really good but not sure how long they'd last.

After trying this 1 round, notice that the recipe yield a HUGE batch of cookies. So if we do try this again, we could half all ingredients to make less cookies.

There... first baking of the year accomplished :D
