At 19 months... and...my darling is fine :)

The daughter stepped into her 19th month with us yesterday. To top up the celebration, she went on well without fever for 2 days now… have started returning to her old self – the sweaty, cheeky, cheerful girl. Everyone’s oh-so-jolly to see that our darling’s back! :)

Realized that I haven’t updated her progress for the 18th month. So will do it together this month. At 18th/ 19th months:-

- for the first time, fell ill for more than 2 weeks, had more than 4 bottles of medication and only recovered after many consultations to various paeds and 2 visits to the medium :(
- start climbing up stairs without much support. Still doesn’t know how to come back down;
- climb up and down sofas and beds confidently;
- have TWELVE teeth now;
- on her 19th-month “birthday”, we started brushing her teeth with a real toothbrush before going to bed :) :)
- knows many new words, like Barney, noooo, milk, hot, bread, pretty, car, fish, shoe, star, moon, bear, tortoise, baby, fire, che che, ko ko, etc ;
- for some reason, the word elephant appears as “ta-chiu-chiu” and she loves that word!!!
- She lovessssss all the CNY lanterns and lights. Will go “wow!” whenever we pass by someone’s house which has brightly lighted CNY lanterns;
- Knows how to play the “sep-sep-sep, bom-bom-bom, yes-sir, no-sir, 1, 2, jus!” hand-game with us. But before we reach the “jus” part, she’ll be giggling so much that she cant concentrate when we try to teach her the signs of scissors, paper and stone;
- Lifts up her hand and say “po po” when she wants us to carry her;
- When we give her a piece of paper with a pen, she’ll first want us to draw her the star, house, moon, fish, car, etc before she starts writing herself. When you draw on the piece of paper, she’ll be able to identify the pictures and name them. (so far, I’ve only taught her the star, house, moon, fish, car and spoon coz I don’t know how to draw the rest of the other things!!! WAHAHAHAHA)
- When she wants something and we say “what are you suppose to say?”, she’ll go “pissss” (as in “Please”)
- And after we give her what she wants and we ask “what are you suppose to say?”, she’ll go “tank you!” :)
- During meals, if she wants soup, she’ll say “sooo, sooo” and when her bowl is empty, she’ll say “more!” kekeke..
- She has started to eat a little of the leafy vege that we have during dinner, but she prefers the meat… give her chicken or pork and vege in the same bowl, you’ll see that she finishes all the chicken and pork and leaves the vege behind!
- Knows how to drink from a straw-cup and is loving is!
- Looks at us with puppy eyes when we say “anne, look at papa/mommy/etc!”
- Stands in front of the gate waiting for us whenever she hears car coming home!
- When we tell her we’re gonna snap a photo of her, for some unknown reasons, she’ll squat down and smile.. like this photo… hmm… - Is no longer afraid of the infrared ear thermometer
- Seem to understand what we tell her, especially when we try to reason some things to her.

and these are some photos I ABSOLUTELY love! :)

notty Papa and with the darling... both tongues out! hehe
