Work, Family and Greeneries

Work:-
Still hectic as ever. The fact that I don't get the latest updates from the family or closest friends disturbs me :P Previously, I get to reply emails on the spot and get to "8" on whatever that's happening to people around me. Nowadays, news that I get are those that happened a week ago... or worst, sometimes it goes "huh? you mean you didn't know? we don't remember when that happened!" :S

The Mall will be handed over next week. New Senior Centre Manager is still not here. Yours truly is still the acting Centre Manager. Foreseeing more late nights... late nights that are later than usual.

Family:-
Mother's day was great this year. Very meaningful.
The whole clan went to Ampang to the uncle's place to have Mother's Day lunch with da grandmother. It's the first time PoPo see Anne. Anne was fascinated! We suspect is because she has never seen such an elderly person :P

All went well.. Anne behaved well over lunch. We even manage to stay for as long as we wanted in Uncle's house! The little one was entertained by all the oh-so-lovely flowers in Uncle's house and their little dog... First encounter of Anne standing face-to-face with a doggie. At one point, Anne was near enough for it to lick her!!!

Left Ampang at around 5+. Too early for dinner and didnt want to go to any shopping centres. So ended up bringing DiMi & Xzan to Paparich near the Cheras Carrefour. Had a lovely tea-break and proceeded home thereafter.

Some updates on Anne. It's rather "challenging" nowadays to take care of her. She'll cry and whine whenever we wanna bathe and change her. She refuses to wake up in the morning to go to Grandpa's house. Refuses to go to her bed without having one song from her Barney dvd.. and the list goes on...Attempt to potty train her failed miserably. She'll go "shh-shh"... right after she says that, the diaper will be wet; leaving us no time to rush her to the potty :P Well, we mustnt give up! Will update again when we eventually get to train her in that.

On the positive side, we're beginning to understand what she's saying now... tho it's still very much baby-language, but it's getting there. She, on the other hand, understands almost everything we say; well, VERY selective listening tho.. she understands things that she wants to understand :S

21 months now... 3 more months and my darling girl will reach the "scary-two" age. Will it really be as scary as how some mothers claim? :)

Greeneries:-
The flowers that we bought for CNY somehow decided to dry-up. And because the flowers were placed right in front of the main entrance, we had to replace them with something nice. Procrastinated for quite a few weeks now... Finally manage to get ourselves to the nursery and brought home 2 new green leafy plants :) Wonderful. The house is pretty and green again :)=========================
The parents and sista are at HK for their annual holiday.
Leaving us to care for our meals for the next 5 days..

Yesterday, we had old cucumber soup, stir-fried chicken with kai-lan, luncheon meat and fried vege with roasted pork. I give myself 7/10.
Today, it's dearie's turn. He made herbal soup, sweet & spicy prawns, fish with ginger floss and stir-fried kailan with vinegar. I give this meal 9/10! gawdd... me super fail :p
Will try again tomorrow :P
