2010 Flashback

One more day before 2010 bids goodbye. Has been a terrific-ly busy and challenging year, both at work and at home.

A summary of happenings:-
Jan: Anne got her first molar and the series of tooth outbreak thereafter brought a whole long series of consuming fever syrup, medications and manja-ness;
Feb: The horrible white-tiger CNY where all 3 of us fell ill for a long long time. Resorted to chinese prayers and got a "fu" for Anne to wear till this year completes;
Mar: The big 3-0 celebration! First visit to Thistle PD (a place where we love but will never return), took up the challenge to be the acting Centre Manager for The Intermark;
April: Visit to Klana Resort. Anne had a temperature rise to 38.8 deg! Our first attempt to give her the suppository;
May: Visit to KL Bird Park. First visit to Damai Laut Resort, Lumut;
June: Anne's first hospital admission. Totally broke our hearts. Temperature rose to 40deg.
July: Anne's sang her first song >> Twinklex2 Little Star :) I cut my hair after the World Cup Finals
Aug: Anne's 2nd birthday! Visit to Cameron Highlands. Di's minor op which led to Xzan & I going vegetarian for 1 month and 1 week respectively :P
Sept: Got to know about junior no.2's arrival :)
Oct: Off from work for 2+ weeks. The journey to the never-ending puking and MCs begun :P
Nov: Anne had another series of temperature and coughing. After which, she was miraculously potty trained herself! First visit to KL Deer Park (which was a total let down with Auntie Amy Wong/Uncle KF and Auntie Wong Siew Lan+family) :P. Officially promoted as Senior Manager :)
Dec: Admitted to Britannia for dehydration. Anne got sick again with really bad cough this time. Confirmation that junior no.2's a baby boy :) Xmas celebration at Klana Resort and Royal Bintang, Seremban.

We traveled the least this year.. not even on short near holidays. Didn't go for any concerts at all (which is quite weird). Realized that the little one falls sick really quite often. I blame myself for not giving her enough antibody due to the lack of susu-ibu :P We are already quite strict with the things she eat, the places she goes to and our general hygiene. Then again, there are so many kids surrounding her everyday.. not quite possible to protect her from all the germs from everyone, isnt it? Well, we'll just have to live with it and let her build her own antibody!

Other than that, things at home has been really sweet. We have an angel to entertain us whenever we reach home. The person who will always bring smiles to our tired/frustrated faces. The person who has learn how to speak and sing so well that she imitates everything we say and (wants to) controls everything that we do :) The person that everyone rushes home to meet after a long day at work... The person that will be a che-che very soon :)

Work wise - crazy as it seems but I've gained tremendously. Pushed myself to a few levels higher. Am at now at the senior management level managing more than 30 senior ranking staff below me, leading a team of players to manage a new high end mixed development project in the heart of KL. Not easy, but it's a challenge. A challenge that I voluntarily absorbed.

So, what are the hopes for year 2011? Frankly, I just wish for everyone to be healthy. Lets pray and hope that year 2011 will be a great healthy and jolly year for all!
