A weekend trip to Genting

Our last trip up was in January 2013. More than 3 yrs later, we visited Genting again this weekend; and it was an all expense paid-for holiday! Hehe..

Dimi headed up to watch Tsai Ching concert. Since they have extra points in their Genting card, they redeemed and extra room for us! Yay! And to add cream to the cake, they were lucky last week and won some extra moolah, so all meals were on them as well! Double yay! Haha..

There werent much for kids to play as the whole outdoor and most of the indoor theme parks are closed for reno and upgrading. There were only some kiddy rides left and the indoor playground (those where u pay and play games like in shopping malls) near Maxim Hotel.

At First World, there were ongoing performances by magicians and a few rides. On our first day, we spent time at the temple on the way up, and the balance of the time trying to locate the Box Office counter to collect DiMi's concert tix!! The previous locations were  all closed and we had to walk all the way to the entrance of the Arena of Stars to collect them! While Dimi were enjoying the concert, 4 of us and Xzan watched Pan. Kids' movie. Quite entertaining but nothing to shout about.

On the second day, it was the day that the kids had waited for. We went on about 4-5 rides, had ice creams, visited Ripley's Believe It Or Not and finally went into the much awaited Snow World. Tickets were expensive. Family package for 2 adults and 2 kids was at RM106. 1 piece of 8R photo was at RM53 (no cameras and photo taking allowed inside the snow world)

It was extremelyyyyyy cold inside the Snow World (reading on the temperature controller said it was -5deg!). We put on the jacket, gloves and boots provided by them (yea.. anyone would have worn it and we dont know when it was last washed.. but well.. sometimes couldnt care so much lahh.. hehe). The kids were alright after putting on all the jacket and glooves... but for me.. i nearly froze!!! Coz i was wearing shorts!!! At one point, I literally couldnt feel my legs!! Haha

Had quite some fun monkey-ing around inside the Snow World. I was the one that called quits first coz my legs couldnt take it any longer! Anne followed me out and Dearie & Jyn played on for another 5mins or so.

The overall weather at Genting was cool and brezzy, but no where as cold as how it used to be.

Anyway.. cool or not cool, the weather and air up there was definately wayyyyy better than the haze we have down here... grrrr
