The little bunny boy

Was having trouble sleeping last night and so revisited my older post when I was pregnant with Anne. It must be because I was pregnant for the first time in year 2008, I had a blog post on the progress of the pregnancy every other month!

Looking back at this second pregnancy, I only had ONE post of this pregnancy, and it was way back in November 2010, ie, the post where I made it go public that we're expecting this jolly little bunny boy.

So after going through all the blogpost I had pre-Anne, felt compelled that I had to write a little something about this growing little darling inside me :)

Was doing some counting last night and it surprises me that I'm already in my 28th week of pregnancy! erm.. if my calculation goes right, that means I'm already in my 3rd (ie, last) trimester!!

When I went for my previous checkup, where the baby was at approx 24 weeks, he weigh 460g. Looking back at Anne's statistics, when she was 20 weeks, she weigh 500g. So well, this baby brother is a tad bit lighter than the elder sis. Otherwise, all is good. The weight of 460g was actually a 110% increase compared to the previous month.

My statistics are ok as well. Weight, blood, BP and sugar level are all ok. Took the triple test and everything turned out good as well. During the last consultation, had my blood taken again to test if I've got enough rubella, hep B antibody and blood count. Results will be given to me when I go for the next checkup which is suppose to be yesterday :P

Major similarities/differences when carrying the little mouse and this little bunny:-
Similarities:-
1) Puking for the first 4 months (tho it was slightly better with this boy)
2) Got admitted to Britannia for drips due to dehydration :P
3) Nightmares and weird dreams when I sleep at night
4) Strains at the pelvic bone and lower part of the tummy when I walk (Anne's straining started much earlier. For this boy, I could still practically walk the whole mall at this stage - but it has to be before meals. After eating, I cant even walk half a meter without complaining :P)
5) Doesnt like the mommy's cooking (I know.. both the grandchildren are really notty! The grandmother tries to cook all sorts of dishes to satisfy me, but I just refuse to eat!)
6) Doesnt fancy eating all the vitamin/pills prescribe by doc :P
7) Off/On constipation
8) Chewing gum helps contain / prevent nausea (for the first 5 months, I think I had more than 10 bottles of chewies! I have it everywhere! In all my bags, in the car, in Anne's bag, in the office, in DiMi's house, every corner of my house and the list goes on)
9) Urinating oh-so-frequently at night (only when I go to bed). During the day/evening, the toilet trend is similar to the times before I got pregnant. It's only in the night where I tend to wee-wee 3-4 times a night
10) Feels like I smell as if I havent taken a bath in 10 thousand years. Tho confirmation with Dearie says that he doesnt smell anything weird/abnormal.
11) Enjoying the temporary non-bald moments ~ the normal places where u can see my scalp are now covered with hair! kekeke
11) Enjoys having Dearie apply stretchmarks lotion for me before going to bed. (Difference is this time round, there's an additional pair of little hands helping to apply the lotion for me ~ the little che-che :) )

Differences:-
1) I'm more active during this pregnancy - able to work till late at night and walk / conduct inspections during working hours
2) Do not feel as sleepy/ tired as compared to the first pregnancy (Blog post reminds me that I had trouble having dinner last time coz I would be feeling sooooo sleepy by dinner time!)
3) Do not need to specially wake up for breakfast during weekends (When I was pregnant with Anne, we had alot of 'weekend mornings' as I automatically wake up by 9am as I'd be feeling very hungry! This time, I can sleep as long as I want to and wouldnt feel hungry :P)
4) The 'twins' have serious skin-peeling problem with leads to itchiness :P
5) Doc had to tell me several times in this pregnancy to rest and not walk too much (When I was pregnant with Anne, no one had to tell me this coz I was automatically in idle-mode! wahaha)
6) Feels LOA sometimes coz Dearie has not much time to shower me with attention unlike those days when I was pregnant with Anne ~ main culprit: Ms Hee Ving Anne herself.. she just knows the right ways to attract the papa's attention! (aih.. kesian mommy :P) hehe
7) Have not gone round shopping for baby items as most of the stuff used by Anne could be handed down (so kesian the 2nd one hor.. have to use used stuff :P Anyway, we did buy some new ones la.. stuff la mittens and booties and caps. Reckon that little jumpers and tops would be sufficient.)
8) Have confirmed a full-time confinement lady the month we knew we were having this darling! This time, it's a full-time CL (no more half-day crap!) which cost us RM3k!
9) Movements inside the tummy when carrying a baby girl and a baby boy is VERY different! With the girl, the movements were ticklish... with this boy, vigorous movements make me go yelling in pain!!!!
10) No. of consultations with Dr. Tan were wayyy more than Anne due to the earlier stage uncertainties. Thank god all's fine now.
11) Have no cravings whatsoever. Do not feel like eating most of the time. On a good day, I'll be able to eat 2 meals.. on a normal day, it's usually just a full lunch.. dinner is a pain :S
12) Have not referred/read a single pregnancy book/magazine until this point.

Oright... That's all that I can think off for now.
Since it's still CNY, lets have some jolly photos to end this post :)
